Biography

Born in Milan in 1940, where he currently lives and works.
As a young boy, following his father in the countryside, he developed a passion for animals and in particular for water birds. This allowed him to closely observe the behaviours and morphology of birds in freedom. He instinctively felt the need to reproduce what he saw on paper.
He graduated in Political Science and after having worked for years in the advertising industry, he went back to his great passion. He resumed studying wild animals. He started experimenting various painting techniques and especially watercolours, which, with its delicate transparency allow him to bring forth all its emotion with striking effects.
The water birds are the main protagonists of his works and are highlighted in the foreground, while the landscape around them is depicted with light and delicate tones so as not remove their importance. He paints with lively interest woodcock, pheasant, partridge, deer, dogs, horses.
